Starting SoonYoga & Mindfulness (Seward)Yoga & Mind-Body PracticesThis class is to support you in releasing tension and stress in your body and mind. We will start with a moderate to slow hatha style flow, and end class with a guided relaxation meditation. Focus will be on breath, alignment, and tapping into yourself and the present moment. All levels are welcome. By the end of the class you will feel rejuvenated as well as relaxed. Instructor Mandy Gavin welcomes you! Also offered during the meditation portion but completely optional will be hands-on relaxation assist (such as a light pressure to the shoulders during the meditation) and essential oil spritz. Note you will need to get on hands and knees and lay on the floor at times. Please have your own mat available and bring a blanket if you’d like to cover up during the meditation portion.Adult Enrichment Spring 2026 -
Yoga & Wellness Camp (Gr. 6-8) at WashburnSports CampsStretch, breathe, and grow! This Yoga & Wellness Camp is designed for youth of all experience levels who want to explore yoga and mindfulness in a supportive environment. Campers will be introduced to yoga poses, breathing techniques, mindfulness practices, and relaxation exercises through engaging activities, games, and guided practice. Beyond physical movement, this camp emphasizes self-awareness, emotional regulation, focus, and overall well-being. Campers will explore topics such as stress management, healthy routines, and positive self-talk while practicing teamwork, respect, and self care. Daily snacks will be provided. Campers will have opportunities to apply what they’ve learned through group activities, reflection time, and creative wellness challenges. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education offers fees on a sliding scale. The class fee reflects the average cost of offering a class, and families are encouraged to choose the fee that best fits their situation. When families participate at all levels of the sliding scale, the program remains sustainable for everyone.
