Boxing Circuit Workout (Lucy Laney)
Get a great cardio workout while punching your way into shape. Learn to jab, upper cut and throw hooks in this non-person-to-person contact class. Participants will be able to make contact with punching bags and participate in padwork with the coach. -

Karate: Teen & Adults (Ages 12+) (Ella Baker)
For those who have never tried martial arts, karate is a great introduction to self-defense with a rich cultural history and a philosophy of self-discipline and continual self-improvement. Sensei June has been training and teaching karate in the Beikoku Wado-ryu style for over a decade, with additional experience in Shotokan, Ueshiro Shorin-ryu, Shorinji-ryu, Shotokan, Taekwondo, and wrestling. Her classes focus both on traditional kata/bunkai as well as more modern self-defense applications. June is passionate about making martial arts accessible and fun for all students, and has a broad experience tailoring her classes to different bodies, comfort levels, and backgrounds. Karate is for EVERY BODY and Sensei June is committed to meeting you where you are and helping you grow towards your goals. -

Intermediate level (level 2) Mat Pilates combined with yoga flow movements using Pilates principles to get you off the ground and raise your heart rate. A small stability ball and Pilates circle will challenge your Mat Pilates on the floor. Roller Blading: Open Skate (Ella Baker)
Get your cardio on with rollerblading/roller skating fun at Ella Baker. Some may remember the times when you could do that at the old Metrodome, but here you can do it at a school and you won't get in trouble. Participants must bring their own rollerblades/roller skates. Helmets and pad are recommended. Open roller blading is a social course with no instructor. -
Self Defense: Jiu-Jitsu Techniques (Northeast)
Come learn self-defense with Jiu-Jitsu techniques and how to keep your body safe in all situations. No striking or kicking is needed to be in control of yourself and your environment. Jiu-Jitsu is the art of a smaller person taking control of a much larger, stronger, and faster person. The last day of class will include a situational training where participants can show off what they've learned in the previous 6 weeks. No previous experience is needed, all are welcome!
