Renter Rights, Eviction Prevention & Tenant Education (South)Business & ConsumerThe Renter Rights Workshop is a free interactive presentation of tenant’s legal rights and responsibilities, including the Federal and State legal protections that are in place to help individuals and families secure and maintain housing of their own choice. We will discuss how to file a complaint for discrimination with HUD and what to expect during the process. You’ll get an overview of what the eviction process is in MN and what actions can be taken if housing court is scheduled. Also covered are renter’s insurance, affordable housing and money management when looking for your next home. Presented by HOME Line, a nonprofit Minnesota tenant advocacy organization. HOME Line provides free legal, organizing, educational and advocacy services so tenants throughout Minnesota can solve their own rental housing problems. HOME Line works to improve public and private policies relating to rental housing by involving affected tenants in the process. Through movement, we will explore spinal and pelvic mobility, core engagement, and how the breath contributes to healing, as well as our bodies' preferred movement patterns. Students will learn new ways to bring more balance into the body, with the goal of reducing or eliminating core and pelvic floor injuries and dysfunction. This is ideal for people who experience symptoms such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis, or people who have given birth as recently as 12 weeks prior to beginning of class and are looking to reconnect with their bodies. It is also ideal for those experiencing low back pain, weak core, stiffness, and who are looking to create a new movement practice. Most importantly, this tour honors the Rondo–Frogtown community members who saved this historic building and turned a 15-year dream into reality. What you’ll experience isn’t just a tour — it’s a celebration of community power, preservation, and possibility. This class will cover skills needed to make a circle or oval rug, how to select fabric and preparation, and possible striping variations. Through your knowledge of Structured Query Language, you will become more marketable in computer related career fields that pertain to database administration.
