Restorative Exercise for Pelvic Floor & Core (Summer)
In this class we will explore the foundational moves of the Restore Your Core® movement method. Through movement, we will explore spinal and pelvic mobility, core engagement, and how the breath contributes to healing, as well as our bodies' preferred movement patterns. Students will learn new ways to bring more balance into the body, with the goal of reducing or eliminating core and pelvic floor injuries and dysfunction.
This is ideal for people who experience symptoms such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis, or people who have given birth as recently as 12 weeks prior to beginning of class and are looking to reconnect with their bodies. It is also ideal for those experiencing low back pain, weak core, stiffness, and who are looking to create a new movement practice. The moves are based on yoga and Pilates, but with a different approach than what you might find in most yoga or Pilates classes.
