Figure out what to do in an emergency and learn new activities to do with children. You will walk away with a babysitter's pack that includes everything you need to start your babysitting business. You will also gain hands-on experience caring for younger children and assisting with youth Super Summer classes. This class does not include CPR. Babysitting: American Red Cross 11+ (Entering Gr. 6-9)Kenwood Super Summer CampsLearn about leadership, safety, basic first aid and child development from a professional. Figure out what to do in an emergency and learn new activities to do with children. You must be 11 years old by the end of class and pass a skills test to receive the certificate. This class does not include CPR. Register your child for a morning class and an afternoon class and we will provide lunch and supervision free of charge from 12-1 pm. When signing up for the morning class, you will be able to choose the option “Stay for free lunch and recess from 12:00 – 1:00 pm” as you complete your registration. Learn from a seasoned backpacker who is a Wilderness First Responder how to choose a trail, pack a backpack, set up a tent, use a backcountry stove and water filter, use a gear list (provided), read a map, protect food and maintain gear. This orientation is required prior to any on-trail first-time backpacking trip with Backpack The Trails LLC. You will work on fingering of the instrument, learn simple tunes, history of the instrument, focus on modern pipe bands, and gain information on the process of getting onto and purchasing a full set of pipes. You will spend the class learning pipes with a practice chanter and tutor book, which are the instructor's but can be purchased from them if you choose to further your learning after the class ends.
