Want to take a deeper dive into those beautiful mansions around Lake of the Isles? Ever wonder how our fantastic Minneapolis Park System was developed? Join Mark Raderstorf, Chief Fun Officer for You Betcha Tours, on a bike tour around Lake of the Isles and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. You will learn about the history of the Minneapolis Parks, how it took root long before homes were built, and the people behind the vision and development of the parks. This tour will feature stops at notable mansions around the Lake of the Isles, the Mary Tyler Moore House, Peavey Fountain, Spoonbridge and Cherry, and the Whitney Bridge. Tour distance will be 8 miles. You must provide your own bike and bike helmet. Tour is limited to 20 people, so sign up before it sells out! Dress for the weather and bring water. You know you need better boundaries. You've known it for a while. The problem isn't information, you could probably teach a class on why boundaries matter. The problem is that every time you try to set one, the guilt shows up right behind it like an uninvited houseguest who brought a tuna casserole and a lot of opinions. Sound familiar? Compassionate boundaries aren't about being cold, selfish, or difficult. They're about knowing where you end and someone else begins and caring enough about both to be honest. Because the most loving thing you can do in most relationships isn't to say yes to everything. It's to tell the truth about what you can and can't give. In this workshop, we'll explore why boundaries feel so hard (hint: it's not a willpower problem), what guilt is actually telling you, and how to set limits that are clear, kind, and ones you can actually stick to. We'll practice real language for real situations — no scripts that sound like a self-help book, just words that actually sound like you. This is for you if you're exhausted from saying yes when you mean no. If you over-explain every decision like you're presenting evidence in court. If you'd rather set yourself on fire than disappoint someone. Boundaries and love are not opposites. Let's practice holding both.
