Rainforests & Jungles (Entering Gr. 1-2)Kenwood Super Summer CampsOver half of the world's animals live in rainforests. Get to know some of them as you journey into the jungle, learning about the plants and animals of this wild, wet, and beautiful habitat. Register your child for a morning class and an afternoon class and we will provide lunch and supervision free of charge from 12-1 pm. When signing up for the morning class, you will be able to choose the option “Stay for free lunch and recess from 12:00 – 1:00 pm” as you complete your registration. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education offers fees on a sliding scale. The class fee is the average cost of offering a class. Families are asked to pick the class fee or the price that they are able to pay. When families participate as they are able, at all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining. A lunch is available to all students. Please select this option when you register. Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our summer programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay.
