Weaving: Forage & Weave (Kenwood)

Connect with nature, as the world reawakens this spring! We’ll begin by exploring the local natural environment, gathering natural fibers, branches, stones, and other materials. We’ll then transform these materials into expressive woven forms.

With guidance from the instructor, you’ll learn ethical and sustainable foraging practices, how to prepare and weave with unconventional materials, and experiment with texture and form. This class encourages mindful observation and appreciation of the natural landscape, exploring how seasonal materials can inspire and guide creativity.

This class uses some hand strength (cutting materials) and is adaptable to varying levels of dexterity. All experience and skill levels are welcome.
