Art As Play (North)
Curious about a new medium? Need space to explore creative ideas? In Art as Play, we’ll do just that - play with a variety of supplies, try new methods and explore our creative abilities and ideas. This is a safe and supportive environment to try, begin and be in your artistic practice. We’ll have acrylic paint, watercolors, oil pastels and collage supplies available, as well as examples of how to engage with those mediums singularly or as mixed media. No pressure on the final product, just a space to enjoy the journey of creating and following artistic curiosity and intuition. -

Darning 101 (Roosevelt)
Rips and holes can happen in our favorite knit garments, including t-shirts, socks, and workout clothes. Heal all of those holes with darning and community during this two hour class. Lauren will teach you how to repair the knit garments in your life with two methods of darning. In Partnership with Curiosity Studio. Accessibility: Previous Darning skills not required. Glass Blowing Intro: Torchwork (Ella Baker)
This class is great for beginners with or without any experience! The student will learn safety fundamentals, tool and torch usage, solid rod welding and gathering, color application, shaping, and more. Students will be able to create small trinkets, marbles, paper weights, plant rods, or anything else that can be thought of with the skills learned. Class Policies: Please arrive at your scheduled class a few minutes early to fill out applicable paperwork and receive assigned safety glasses. Liability waivers and emergency contact forms must be filled out in order to participate in class. These forms will be provided upon arrival, prior to your scheduled class. Requirements: No sandals or open footwear - shoes must have closed toes and heels No loose sleeves or long dangling necklaces/bracelets Long hair must be tied back Please come to class fed and hydrated - standing is required for the duration of class for optimal safety. [A chair may be provided if needed for medical reasons] Recommendations: Cotton or natural fiber clothing recommended (It’s best to avoid synthetic clothing as it could melt in the case of an accident) It is highly recommended that you bring water to drink Free street parking will be available to all students in the front of the building. There is typically ample parking available on our block. If a student arrives to class inebriated they will be asked to leave, for safety purposes. Students will not receive a refund in this case. -

Henna Workshop (Summer)
Discover the rich culture of henna. Henna is a dye prepared from leaves of a henna tree also known as Egyptian privet. Henna is temporary body art resulting from the staining of the skin from the dyes. After stains reach their peak color, they hold for a few days, then gradually wear off, typically within two to three weeks. Learn the basics of henna tattoos and practice them. The instructor will fill in or finish your henna design and take home henna cone. We will use natural henna. -
Launch into Summer Reading with Collage Bookmarks (Camden)
Want to read more this summer? Join us to make beautiful collage bookmarks to get us motivated to read more. We will have fun collaging while discussing what books we’ve read and want to read. This class is great for all skill levels, so just bring yourself and your creativity for a night of arts and crafts. Enough materials will be supplied to make multiple bookmarks per person. -
