Cooking With Sunlight: Free Energy, No Pollution, Reduce Deforestation! (Southwest)
Learn the history of solar cooking and benefits of solar cooking such as reducing respiratory diseases and making refugees safe in areas of conflict around the world. We'll display a variety of commercially available solar cookers and show how how easy they are to use to cook anything. We'll review simple DIY cookers made with basic tools and materials. You'll also receive updates on international efforts to reduce deforestation due to cooking fuel in "sun-rich, resource-poor" countries.
