Assistance Dog Education (Northeast)Health, Wellness & SafetyDuring this class, you will learn what assistance dogs (aka service dogs) are, what skills they can provide, and whether they can assist with your disability. Then, once you know if and how they can help you, you will learn what lifestyle factors you need to consider to successfully care for an assistance dog and integrate it into your life. These include considerations for work/school, home environment, other pets, physical and financial responsibility, etc. Determining these factors now will set you up for a lifetime of success with an assistance dog. Astrology 1: Natal Charts & Transits (Edison)Personal Development*** Please note that this class will meet 4 times (skip date of 5/14) and is $55). The online listing is correct and is not reflective of what was printed in the catalog due to a last minute schedule change *** Your natal chart shows the placement of the planets the moment you were born and can give much insight into who you are, your strengths and challenges, your desires and fortunes, your karma and fate. Getting to know yourself through your chart can help nurture your whole self. You will learn to read your own chart, track transits and build a foundation in the ancient symbolic language of the stars. We will start with the basics: descriptions of the attributes of the 12 signs of the Zodiac, the planets, the nodes of the Moon and the 12 houses. You will learn how the chart is laid out, the importance of the house cusps and how to choose a house system. The basic aspects: squares, oppositions, trines and conjunctions will be covered. We will learn from each other’s charts and share experiences. Software for casting charts will be recommended but is not required. No previous knowledge of astrology is necessary. WaitlistBabysitters Club (Gr. 6-9)Sanford Super Summer CampsLearn about leadership, safety, basic first aid and child development from a professional. Figure out what to do in an emergency and learn new activities to do with children. You will walk away with a babysitter's pack that includes everything you need to start your babysitting business. You will also gain hands-on experience caring for younger children and assisting with youth Super Summer classes. This class does not include CPR. Grades are the year your student will be entering in the fall. A lunch is available to all students. Please select this option when you register.
