Lake Monsters (Entering Gr. 1-2)Kenwood Super Summer CampsExplore our neighborhood lakes and learn about the “monsters” that call them home. Register your child for a morning class and an afternoon class and we will provide lunch and supervision free of charge from 12-1 pm. When signing up for the morning class, you will be able to choose the option “Stay for free lunch and recess from 12:00 – 1:00 pm” as you complete your registration. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education offers fees on a sliding scale. The class fee is the average cost of offering a class. Families are asked to pick the class fee or the price that they are able to pay. When families participate as they are able, at all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining. The steps are even a bit easier than Salsa so this is a great place to start learning Latin dance! Sign up with a partner or rotate with partners in class. Registration is for one person; *partners must register separately. *This class fills quickly; dance partners should register around the same time to ensure they get into class together. Learn The Art of Morris DanceDanceMorris dancing is a traditional English folk dance characterized by rhythmic stepping and choreographed figures performed by a group, often wearing bell pads on their shins. The dance has a long history and features various styles and costumes, with props like handkerchiefs and sticks, and live music from instruments such as fiddles and accordions. No prior dance experience is needed. Dances are traditionally moderately vigorous, but have been adapted to suit participants of varying abilities. Bells, handkerchiefs, and wooden sticks will be provided for use during class. Wear comfortable clothing and good athletic shoes. Masking is encouraged but not required.Adult Enrichment Spring 2026 -
