Service Dog Education (Northeast)

During this class, you will learn what assistance dogs (aka service dogs) are, what skills they can provide, and whether they can assist with your disability. Then, once you know if and how they can help you, you will learn what lifestyle factors you need to consider to successfully care for an assistance dog and integrate it into your life. These include considerations for work/school, home environment, other pets, physical and financial responsibility, etc. Determining these factors now will set you up for a lifetime of success with an assistance dog. This class welcomes questions to relate the content to your personal lived experience.
