The Silent Surrealist: Rene Magritte (Camden)
Pull back the curtain and unravel the mysteries within the work of painter Rene Magritte! Magritte, a reserved and private man with a quick wit, used repeated motifs and puns frequently in his artwork. He also loved literature and wordplay, frequently adding literary elements to his paintings. Together we will learn how this playful artist with a dark sense of humor created his own brand of Surrealism.

Adrienne H. Lee is an art historian and writer who is brand new to Minnesota. Known publicly as The Wandering Art Historian, she spent the last eight years giving lectures, teaching classes, and hosting art-inspired book club discussions all over the state of Florida. Ms. Lee is an avid reader and writer of both fiction and non-fiction, and she published her debut novel in January of 2024.
