Quilted Wall-Hangings: Meditations on Dreams (Roosevelt)

This two week class involves working with a dream you have had while asleep or awake, and turning it into a quilted wall hanging! Come prepared with ideas of imagery and design as well as any surface materials you want to work with, and leave with a small quilted art piece that represents the dream you have. We will work with several techniques including appliqué, hand sewing, embroidery, and embellishment with beads or found objects. 

Bring your own sewing tools (machine if you want, needles, pins or clips, thread of choice) and fabric selections, as well as whatever embellishments you'd like to include. Instructor will provide quilt batting, some fabrics, extra thread and needles, extra pins and seam rippers, fusible interfacing and fabric glue, and a selection of fabrics/buttons/sequins/beads (included in class material fee).
