Irish Mandolin (Roosevelt)

This class will teach several traditional Irish tunes (instrumentals) on the mandolin. The main purpose of the class is to encourage you to join the Irish music community in the Twin Cities and start playing with other people. Total beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend, but the class will cover a lot of material quickly, and cannot replace taking lessons. Everything will be taught entirely by ear, with no written music, as is traditional in Irish music. All you need to bring is a functioning mandolin (make sure you can get it in tune), a flatpick, and a tuner.
