Pottery Wheel 3: Surface Decorating Techniques (Southwest)
Improve your throwing techniques as you develop your art. Fee includes up to 25lbs of stoneware clay, glazes, tools and firing.
In order to get the most of this class and finish your work, please only sign up if you can commit to the full schedule. There are not make up dates available.
This intermediate to advanced pottery class is designed for students who are confident on the wheel and ready to refine their skills. Participants will focus on more advanced throwing techniques, form development, and intentional surface design. Through demonstrations and guided practice, students will explore a variety of decorative approaches—including texture, carving, underglaze painting, and glaze techniques—to elevate both the function and visual impact of their work.
If class is full, please enroll for the waitlist. We will contact you if a space becomes available.
Gabriela Trnjanin
As a Latina potter based in the Twin Cities, I have been enjoying the art of functional ceramics since 2015. To me, pottery combines both form and function to create beautiful works of art you can hold in your hands and use daily. My enthusiasm for pottery, combined with my deep love of nature and my rich cultural background, truly shapes my work. Currently, my work can be found on social media as @PotteryinbloomMN, and in a few shops around the Twin Cities. Beyond creating, the opportunity to teach the art of ceramics is an amazing way to share what I love most and inspire that same fondness in each of my students.
