A hands-on course designed to help you take full control of your DSLR and mirrorless camera’s settings. Learn the essentials of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance, and discover how to use them to capture the images you envision. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this class will guide you in making the most of your digital camera to achieve the photos you want. Bring your gear to class: camera & owners manual, optional: filters, tripod, and external flash.

Andrea Williams has over two decades of experience in hands-on and experiential teaching, specifically in an outdoor setting. With a longstanding passion for photography, she specializes in portraiture and pet photography, and enjoys outdoor exploration with her camera. In her classes, Andrea emphasizes practicing essential skills across various scenarios to elevate participants' proficiency in photography. As a graduate of the University of Minnesota and longtime Minneapolis resident, Andrea embraces the arts and entertainment offerings through community education and within the local community.
