Each student will receive a copy of a manual that includes an ingredient list, equipment list, recipe, method for making soap, and sources for essential oil, ingredients, and equipment. Discover the joy of group rhythm! This dynamic class is perfect for anyone looking to sharpen their timing, explore new instruments, and experience the unique energy of a percussion ensemble. The class will start each week practicing essential drumstick rhythms and stick control. All will have the opportunity to rotate and play everything from snare drums to auxiliary percussion while practicing beginner ensemble pieces. Instruments may include: snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, hi-hat, temple blocks, bongos/ congas, agogo bells, timpani, wood block, triangle, glockenspiel, shaker, cowbell, tambourine, xylophone, marimba, vibes (vibraphone), bells, and chimes. Prerequisite: It is recommended students have some experience reading music and understanding basic time signatures. Please bring your own drumsticks. If class is full, please enroll in the waitlist. We will contact you if a space becomes available. This class is priced on a sliding fee scale. Please pay the price you are able. This helps to ensure that Community Education can provide quality opportunities for all of our participants.

In this class, you’ll learn basic kicks, escapes, and flowing sequences that build strength, flexibility, and rhythm. This class is all levels, no experience is necessary, come ready to move, have fun, and connect with a supportive community while exploring the history and traditions of Capoeira.

Join us for a night of creativity at this fun Latino inspired Brewery. During this class we will create unique Christmas ornaments made of clay. These ornaments will give a special touch to your Christmas tree or make a great gift. This class will be taught in Spanish and English.
