Amazing Race (Gr. 6-9)
Join a team as you travel country to country participating in challenges that test your speed, strategy and teamwork. Begin by creating a passport to collect stamps for each exciting challenge you complete. Anime & K-pop Club (Gr. 6-9)
Practice drawing Japanese inspired characters and objects, and create artwork to display at home. If you love watching and drawing anime, cosplay, and learning all about Japanese animation, you will love Anime Camp. Fans of K-pop Demon Hunters and ARMY are invited to dance, sing, and explore the world of K-pop. Campers will learn about Japanese and Korean entertainment, share their favorite idols and anime, and practice popular dance moves with new friends. Do you like to explore and get a little creative outside? Explore art inspired by nature while learning new techniques and experimenting with materials found outdoors. We’ll create temporary art like nature mandalas, collaborate on an outdoor art installation to enjoy all summer, and make exciting projects to take home. Grades are the year your student will be entering in the fall. Bike along the trails, by the lakes, and other destinations as you make your way to some nearby parks and playgrounds. Biking is subject to weather, but students should bring their bikes each day. Students will use Metro Transit busses with Instructors on bad weather or poor air quality days.
