Unless you are already familiar and experienced with TV streaming, it is highly recommended you first attend the "Basic Cutting the TV Cord: Streaming Pros, Cons, & Options" class. Participants complete a quick questionnaire prior to this class to summarize their current & desired ideal viewing set-up, in order to focus class discussion on each participant’s priorities. Although many participants typically have similar situations, class size will be limited to 5 households to ensure adequate attention to each. Common topics include: Internet service: Ensuring adequate bandwidth for streaming. Internet services & apps: Recommendations aligned with each individual’s viewing objectives? Some of the best artists drew the illustrations for both classic tales and non-fiction titles. The results are books held in high aesthetic esteem to this day. In April and May, when the trees have yet to leaf out and more sunshine is available, many woodland wildflowers carpet the forest floor, including some of the spring ephemerals native to our region. The Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary is one of the premier locations in the Twin Cities metro area to see these beauties. You will learn about characteristics of the various species in bloom as you spend an hour strolling the trails with a Garden Naturalist. Meet at the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden parking lot. Programs are led by knowledgeable garden naturalists who have a variety of backgrounds in the natural sciences and environmental education fields. Learn the design, history, and artistic context of The Saint John’s Bible—created entirely by hand. View original volumes cared for by Westminster Presbyterian Church with Jennifer Awes-Freeman, Director of the Westminster Gallery and Collection. The Saint John’s Bible is the first hand-written and illuminated Bible created in over 500 years by the community at St. John’s in Collegeville, MN. It is a collective work of 23 artists taking over 15 years to make one copy of the Bible, with 1,120 handwritten pages, almost 4.3 million handwritten letters. The Saint John’s Bible Heritage edition, is one of 299 copies of this original work currently on loan to Westminster.
