Each team will be issued a series of cryptic clues and challenges that will lead you to four distinct locations ranging from storied historical sites and legendary neon landmarks to beloved local businesses. To "check in" at each stop, you might be tasked with: The Sightseer: Snapping a creative group selfie at a historic vista. The Taster: Visiting a local shop to sample a specialty tea or coffee. The Investigator: Tracking down a specific local expert to unlock a piece of neighborhood trivia. Whether you're a lifelong resident or a curious newcomer, you’ll finish the day with a deeper connection to the community, a few new favorite spots, and perhaps a victory prize! Salsa (55+)Creative ActivitiesIt doesn’t always take two to tango as Partner Dance is taught without a partner. During the sessions, participants learn lead/follow skills and etiquette that will last a lifetime! Dancers learn pattern and sequencing recognition, body, ensemble and music awareness, as well as basic terminology. Come tear it up on the dancefloor with us! Note: Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Participants are asked to pick the price that they can pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests.
