Seward Bike Sharks (Grades 4-6)SewardSeward Bike Sharks: a bicycle maintenance and repair program Who's ready to get greasy?!? Did you know Seward has an entire room filled with bike tools and designed for bike repair? We are bringing back a Seward mainstay with the return of the Mondo bike shop, open to any E2 students. We especially encourage 6th grade families to sign up. Our purpose will be two-fold: to share bicycle maintenance skills with students that they may learn hands-on life skills, and to maintain Seward Montessori's wonderful bike fleet, which all E2 students use in the Physical Education bike units, led by Mr. Nicolas. So, we are learning, and also giving back to our community. Your student should be advised that 1. this is a program where we will likely get messy and dirty, so don't wear your fanciest clothes, and 2. this is a pilot project, bringing back a former tradition, and therefore the first couple sessions will be spent sorting, organizing, doing inventory, and yes, working on bikes.
