Finding Nemo Technical Theatre: Costume & Set Design ALL DAY (Gr:6-9) (Sanford)Sanford Super Summer CampsDive into the vibrant underwater world of Finding Nemo Kids in this all-day, week-long musical theater design camp for middle school students! In technical theater, you will work behind the scenes to bring the show to life through imaginative costume creation and set design, exploring how color, texture, movement, and storytelling shape a live performance. Throughout the week, collaborate as a design team sketching ideas, building props and scenery, and crafting costumes inspired by the ocean’s many characters and environments, from coral reefs to the open sea. Along the way, learn theatrical design skills, basic construction techniques, and how designers work with directors and performers to support the story on stage. The week culminates in a final sharing or performance of Finding Nemo Kids, where campers’ designs are proudly featured. No prior theater experience is required. Just bring your creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to get hands-on! Come and see the show on July 9th and August 6th at 10:30 am. Grades are the year your student will be entering in the fall. A lunch is available to all students. Please select this option when you register.
