Lego Architects (Gr. 3-5)Sanford Super Summer CampsDesign, build, and imagine! Use LEGO bricks to explore architecture, problem-solving, and design thinking. Campers will take on fun building challenges as you learn engineering concepts like structure, balance, and planning while bringing your ideas to life. Grades are the year your student will be entering in the Fall. A lunch is available to all students. Please select this option when you register. Lego Extravaganza (Entering Gr. K-2)Kenwood Super Summer CampsPutting together Legos is a snap, but what all can you make with them? Complete time challenges and build Lego structures together. Register your child for a morning class and an afternoon class and we will provide lunch and supervision free of charge from 12-1 pm. When signing up for the morning class, you will be able to choose the option “Stay for free lunch and recess from 12:00 – 1:00 pm” as you complete your registration. To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education offers fees on a sliding scale. The class fee is the average cost of offering a class. Families are asked to pick the class fee or the price that they are able to pay. When families participate as they are able, at all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining. Lifeguard Conditioning *no certification* - Ages 15-18 (Olson Pool)Aquatics* NOTE: Dates have changed for this class*Pre-requisite: To attend, you should be able to float and swim at least one length of the pool. We will work on building front crawl efficiency; breaststroke; treading; sidestroke; endurance; and basic lifeguard skills. The Lifeguard Conditioning Course, helps build endurance and familiarize you with swim skills needed for attendance of the Lifeguard certification course.
