Crafty Kids Gr. K-2BartonThis class is all about making crafts! Students will also get to explore materials to make their own creations. Projects include making special friendship bracelets, lanyards, and art with modeling clay, tissue paper and more. Instructor: Ellie Christman This class is offered on more than one day. Students should only be registered for one class per session. Each class takes place for six weeks. Note: Community Education uses a sliding scale model for program fees so our afterschool programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. The cost of the class is listed first. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable. After School Youth Enrichment Spring 2026 -

Creating Your Own Photographic Vision (Lake Harriet Upper)PhotographyWorldwide, in 1970, there were about 10 billion photographs taken during that YEAR. Today, that same number of images see the light of day every TWO DAYS! With that startling fact in mind, the question for you as a photographer becomes: “Considering the sheer tonnage of photographs currently being made every year, how can I create images that are compelling, interesting and that haven't been done a million times before?” The answer, of course, is that no one has your unique way of seeing. The purpose of this course is to help refine and “bring into focus” your individual visual style, a style that can’t be copied by anyone else. Rather than delving into the mechanical and digital aspects of photography (the camera, lenses, settings) we will instead zero-in on the final product: your unique photographic vision and the compositions that spring out of that vision. *Please note that the meeting dates have been changed from those originally published in the fall 2025 Community Ed catalog.Adult Enrichment Spring 2026 -
