  • Learn The Art of Morris Dance

Morris dancing is a traditional English folk dance characterized by rhythmic stepping and choreographed figures performed by a group, often wearing bell pads on their shins. The dance has a long history and features various styles and costumes, with props like handkerchiefs and sticks, and live music from instruments such as fiddles and accordions. No prior dance experience is needed. Dances are traditionally moderately vigorous, but have been adapted to suit participants of varying abilities. Bells, handkerchiefs, and wooden sticks will be provided for use during class. Wear comfortable clothing and good athletic shoes. Masking is encouraged but not required.
