Badminton: Intermediate (Southwest)
Class is for players with previous experience. Hit the court for a game of singles or doubles- players will rotate partners and opponents throughout the evening. Together we'll practice core basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, screening, defense, offensive sets, and more! Whether you play non-competitive open gyms or have never dribbled a basketball before, we'll meet you where you are at with your skills and give you some tools to improve. This will be a collaborative, non-competitive, fun opportunity that'll hopefully spark your curiosity about different aspects of the game of basketball. You must bring your own basketball. Golf 1 (Southwest)
Focus on the swing technique from the set-up grip, posture alignment and ball position. Putting, tee shots, fairway woods and long irons will be examined and practiced in an attempt to develop a routine in shot-making. If class is full, please enroll for the waitlist. Pickleball League (Ella Baker)
Join the Ella Baker recreational pickleball league! This league will provide a more structured chance to play than an open gym, meant for advanced beginners and low to moderate intermediate players in the 2-3.5 skill level. The emphasis will be on having fun over competition. Each week, individuals will be assigned to a group, and groups will be adjusted over time to give you the right level of challenge. -
Pickleball Team Challenge (Southwest)
A fun-filled evening at Minneapolis Pickleball Club that the whole family will love! Parents can enjoy games on the courts while kids (ages 6 and up) have a blast with group lessons and supervised activities. Get the family together for an evening of pickleball fun! Light snacks and refreshments provided. All participants much register. (Children under 6 welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All children must have an adult on site whether or not they are playing. This is a family event, not drop off childcare. Pickleball is easy to learn, fun to play, and a great way to get active and meet others. This is a beginner class with an instructor. We will go through the basics of the game using drills to build familiarity with the sport and understand the rules and flow of a game, building up to playing full games with your classmates. Bringing a paddle is recommended, a limited number of spares may be available. -

It will include a review of key shots and skills, and also cover strategy concepts to improve your game. Participants will play games, and the instructor will provide feedback on shot selection, court positioning, and decision-making. The focus is on learning through play in a supportive, low-pressure environment while building consistency, awareness, and confidence on the court. If class is full, please enroll for the waitlist. Techniques like placing serve, adding spin, and improving eye hand coordination and quickness will help you step your game up in a fun environment.
