Driver's Education Classroom Training (NEW: School Year 2026-27)

NEW FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2026-27: Registration will be done through the driving school websites

The process to register for the 30-hour classroom instruction has changed and registration should now be completed directly on our partners’ websites. This update allows students more options and the ability to enroll in a package of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. 

Classes take place after school for three hours a day during the school year. Classes are open to students at the schools hosting classes, listed below.

Other Minneapolis Public School Students

If more classes are added, families will be notified by their school. Classes are offered in the summer during the morning and afternoon and are open to students at any high school, including those outside of Minneapolis Public Schools.
