Girls on Bikes (Grades 4-5)

Class Dates: Wednesday September 16th- November 18th

Class Time: 3:45- 5:15 PM

PLEASE NOTE: Extended Learning classes need to be taught by a licensed teacher and offered free to our students. In order to pay our teachers, this class is funded through the state of MN. The state requires evidence that we offered the class after school. In order to comply, we ask that each student and parent or guardian will sign and date a CLP. Calling all 4th and 5th grade girls! Come join Mr. Karl and Miss Casey Wednesdays after school for weekly ride adventures. Students will learn how to ride a bicycle safely in our Minneapolis neighborhoods and on the trails. The rides will generally be anywhere from 4-7 miles in total round trip. Team building will also be part of weekly rides. This class will be full of fun!

Over the last 3 years this class (Engineering the Ride) was taught by Mr. J and Mr. Karl. As Mr. J moves on to his next adventure, we are excited to have Miss Casey join us after school. Miss Casey is one of our Special Ed staff members and is very enthused to be part of this program.

Additional note: We welcome parents, older siblings, and grandparents to volunteer to ride with us each week. Hope you can join in on the fun!
