Nicollet Mall Public Art Walking Tour w/ Jessica Schugel

NOTE:  Tour starts at the corner of Nicollet Mall and Washington Ave South and ends at Walker Art Center.

Minneapolis is deeply committed to the arts, with a vibrant cultural scene that celebrates creativity, diversity, and community. This walking tour through the heart of the city offers a unique blend of art and urban life, beginning along Nicollet Mall, where public art transforms downtown into an open-air gallery. The mile-long corridor features sculptures and installations reflecting Minneapolis’s culture and history, alongside a mix of historic and modern architecture.

From Nicollet Mall, we’ll continue along the Loring Greenway, a scenic pedestrian pathway connecting downtown to Loring Park, one of Minneapolis’s oldest and most beloved green spaces. The park offers a peaceful urban retreat with water features, picnic areas, and a variety of bronze, abstract, and whimsical sculptures. Our journey then leads to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, adjacent to the Walker Art Center, where 11 acres showcase more than 40 sculptures, including large-scale contemporary works by renowned artists.

Be able to walk up to two miles.
