Discover the joy of group rhythm! This dynamic class is perfect for anyone looking to sharpen their timing, explore new instruments, and experience the unique energy of a percussion ensemble.

The class will start each week practicing essential drumstick rhythms and stick control. All will have the opportunity to rotate and play everything from snare drums to auxiliary percussion while practicing beginner ensemble pieces. Instruments may include: snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, hi-hat, temple blocks, bongos/ congas, agogo bells, timpani, wood block, triangle, glockenspiel, shaker, cowbell, tambourine, xylophone, marimba, vibes (vibraphone), bells, and chimes. 

Prerequisite:
It is recommended students have some experience reading music and understanding basic time signatures. Please bring your own drumsticks.

This class is priced on a sliding fee scale. Please pay the price you are able. This helps to ensure that Community Education can provide quality opportunities for all of our participants.
