Metro Food Justice Network GROWS Action Team (Southwest)

The October 17th tour will begin at the Capitol View Communal Garden and Orchard, where participants can taste from the garden, learn about innovative planting methods, and participate in a marigold dyeing activity. Then the group will drive 3 minutes down to the Garden of Good Hearts, a native perennial garden with a medicinal, culinary, and dye bed. Participants can create their own herb-butter for fresh bread, and receive information about medicinal herb methods. This second location is across the street from the West Side Farmers Market's Fall festival, the "Pumpkin Patch Party," which will be happening 12pm-8pm. Participants can finish the tour here and peruse the arts, food, and agricultural offerings of the event. Wabasha Brewing is also next door and will have performances until 8pm

If tour is full, please enroll for the waitlist. We will notify you is a spot becomes available.
