Wire Beading: Minor Jewelry Repair (Roosevelt)
Learn the basics of jewelry making in how to use a jump ring to be able to replace broken clasps, change the ear wires of earrings into something more hypoallergenic, reattach broken chains, etc. Students can bring their broken jewelry and we will work together to fix it. Basic repair supplies will be provided as well as other chains and beads if they want to add a design for practice and play.

Kate Urmann (she/her) has been working as an artist in local art markets for over two years and is so excited to share her process and teach others to be able to create what they have been dreaming up. She has knowledge in resin, jewelry, woodworking, stained glass, sewing, and so much more. Kate believes it is so empowering to be able to make the things we put in our homes and realize that we are capable of so much more than we thought. We know creating art goes beyond simply making a thing, it's expression, it's practice, it's whatever you put into it, and it can be so fun to know "I can make that". Kate values cultivating a safe and accessible space, whatever that can mean, especially for marginalized folks; please reach out if there are any accommodations she can make for you.
