Legacy Trees of Lakewood (55+)
Since its founding as a “garden cemetery” in 1871, Lakewood has been distinguished by its commitment to its natural landscape. This excellence is now formally acknowledged in Lakewood’s accreditation as a Level 2 Arboretum. Join Lakewood’s volunteer guides to walk a loop that introduces you to some of Lakewood’s trees, from the very old to the newly planted.
This 3/4 mile walking tour will introduce you to Lakewood's arboretum and cover topics such as tree diversity, benefits of trees, identification, and, of course, beauty.
This walking tour will include paved roads and turf grass, including some uneven terrain. This tour is not considered ADA accessible.
