Winemaking for Beginners – From Fruit to Bottle (Summer)
Curious about making your own wine? This introductory class explains the complete process: including equipment, fermentation stages, hydrometers, yeast selection, racking, clearing, aging, troubleshooting, and bottling. Real equipment will be demonstrated, both wine kits and fresh-fruit methods will be discussed, and home production laws will be reviewed. No experience necessary.

Laura Joswiak
Laura is a Minnesota native who grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota. She is the author and self-publisher of two children’s picture books, A Rainbow of Orange and A Rainbow of Green, and is currently working on her third book.
She has a professional background in technology and extensive self-directed study in writing and publishing, allowing her to bring both creativity and structure to her teaching. She has firsthand experience navigating manuscript development, copyright, ISBN registration, printing, and distribution, giving her practical insight into the full journey from idea to finished book.
Through her community education courses, Laura equips aspiring authors with practical tools, realistic expectations, and clear next steps so they can confidently move from idea to publication.
