Backpacking (Ella Baker)
Learn basic skills for your first backpacking trip before hitting the trail. Learn from a seasoned backpacker who is a Wilderness First Responder how to choose a trail, pack a backpack, set up a tent, use a backcountry stove and water filter, use a gear list (provided), read a map, protect food and maintain gear.
This orientation is required prior to any on-trail first-time backpacking trip with Backpack The Trails LLC. Please note that taking this class does not commit any attendees to sign up for a trip.
