Your natal chart shows the placement of the planets the moment you were born and can give much insight into who you are, your strengths and challenges, your desires and fortunes, your karma and fate. Getting to know yourself through your chart can help nurture your whole self. You will learn to read your own chart, track transits and build a foundation in the ancient symbolic language of the stars. We will start with the basics: descriptions of the attributes of the 12 signs of the Zodiac, the planets, the nodes of the Moon and the 12 houses. You will learn how the chart is laid out, the importance of the house cusps and how to choose a house system. The basic aspects: squares, oppositions, trines and conjunctions will be covered. We will learn from each other’s charts and share experiences. Software for casting charts will be recommended but is not required. No previous knowledge of astrology is necessary.
