German: Film Club (Roosevelt)
This three-session class begins with an introduction to two German films from the 1990s: Good Bye, Lenin (1990) and Run Lola Run/Lola rennt (1998); both have connections to the former East Berlin. The class will watch each film at Roosevelt followed by time for discussion, beginning at the school and then, for those who choose, at a neighboring restaurant until around 10 PM. Previous knowledge of German language and culture is welcome but not required; the films have English subtitles and discussion will be in English, with some resources in German.
This class is priced on a sliding fee scale. Please pay the price you are able. This helps to ensure that Community Education can provide quality opportunities for all of our participants.
