Academics: Book Club (Entering Grades 3-5)

Cozy up with a good book at the Super Summer Library! Discuss with your fellow booklovers and explore the stories with fun crafts and activities. Give recommendations and share the story through your own creations like maps, storyboards and skits.

A different book will be read each week and we will provide the book ahead of time. The books are:

Week Two: The Wild Robot by Peter Brown

Week Four: Wings of Fire by Tui T Sutherland

Week Six: The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer

To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. The different prices reflect the average cost of offering a class as well as a discounted option and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Fees cover instructor pay, most class supplies, program materials, marketing and scholarships. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. As always, we will continue to offer additional financial assistance upon request. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining. Thank you for your consideration as you sign up for summer programs!
