Team Sports Powered by InSports (LHU) (3-5 Gr.)

Active Solutions Instructor and Minneapolis Teacher Terell Johnson powered by InSports will keep you student active and engage during this after school class. This class will take place in the Lake Harriet Upper gymnasium. Activities will include: arena football, basketball, Danish baseball, floor hockey, kickball, soccer, team handball, volleyball and many others. We will also be playing team games Active Solutions has created. Teachers also incorporate math, reading, health, nutrition and wellness into their lessons. This class is perfect for the child that needs more movement in their lives! Lessons are designed to keep kids engaged in learning activities and to keep their heart rates elevated. Character building, cooperative skills, individual success and safety are all emphasized.

To ensure that our high-quality enrichment classes are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Education is now offering fees on a sliding scale. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay or select the no-cost option. We have always offered partial and full scholarships upon request. If you choose to pay above the class cost, you are helping provide opportunities for children in your community that would otherwise be unable to afford them. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making these requests. When families participate as they are able, in all levels of our sliding scale, the whole program becomes self-sustaining.
