Washburn Athletic Leadership Academy (WALA) (Incoming Gr. 9-12)

Washburn High School Athletic Department is partnering with Minneapolis Community Education to offer Washburn Athletic Leadership Academy (WALA). WALA is an academy designed to cultivate LEADERSHIP in all of the student athletes at Washburn. Mindfulness training, leadership training, sports training and nutrition training are the core pillars of the program.

Who: Current and future Washburn student athletes entering grades 9th - 12th

When: 6/9/25 - 7/24/25 (No programming Wednesday June 19th and the week of June 30th - July 4th)

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 12:00pm

Fees: In order to ensure that our programs are accessible to all families, Minneapolis Community Ed offers fees on a sliding scale. The different prices reflect the average cost as well as discounted options and options that help us cover our administrative costs. Fees cover coach pay, camp supplies, program materials, and scholarships. Please select the price that works best for your family.
