Reimagining Community Safety I: Strategies for Resolving Conflict (Jefferson)

This past year has been one of a kind. The worldwide pandemic has changed our world. The murder of George Floyd has changed us too. Community safety is profoundly important but it is clear that police are not sufficient to meet all the needs of our communities. We all need more tools for resolving conflicts with compassion.

Participation in this class will provide peaceful strategies that apply to all levels of conflict, from personal disagreements to larger community issues. Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) provides the tools needed for these solutions. You will gain understanding of transforming power, learn about basic tools for conflict resolution, and practice applying those tools in conflict scenarios. Presented by Alternatives to Violence Project, a program of Friends for a NonViolent World (FNVW)
